17/11/2010 All System Go!
Everything has gone on smoothly in preparation for this trip. How can it not be? We have dedicated teachers, supportive parents, determined students, and a gem as our principal! Without Mrs Constance Yip encouragement, support and setting a high expectation, we would not have achieved that much within such a short span of time.
Even the travel manager the school got for us is ultra efficient and helpful. Raymond Wong, the tour manager, would be our most important person for the next 10 days :) He even helped us to source for cello cases. Here he is, the thorn among the roses...
From Right: Mrs Baton (parent-volunteer), Miss Jervon (teacher-in-charge), Mrs Tricilia Chua (HOD/EL) and Mr Raymond Wong!
The only regret is Mr Lim Wei Sian, another TIC, is not able to join us on this trip. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to him as he had worked very hard throughout the year for the ensemble. Keep in touch, bro.
Most of the time, I'll let the photos speak for the trip as writing is not my forte.
We have only 3 boys on this trip, hmm...must get more boys to join the ensemble to maintain a healthy balance of ying and yang. Below are our group photos before departure from Changi International Airport, Singapore.

It was a choppy landing as the pilot seemed wanting to test our stomach. Many of us vomitted. Nevertheless, we had a good dinner before arriving at the hotel around 8pm and started our ensemble practice at 9pm! We practised all the way to 11pm, 2 solid hours of hard work and determination, after 22 hours of lond-distance flight. I have to take my hats off these kids, I call them my children. Not many adult can take such punishing hours; They could, and with good spirits. Such will power, such positive attitude, what can't they achieve in life? I am really proud of them.

Below: Food, glorious food! In the coach, on the way to hotel.
